GET READY:

**  Charge up Omnia and Scanfob for at least 1 hour. (Finish charge of 4 hours before shipping.)
**  On computer: go to http://db.scoutpal.com; enter id/pw -- BE SURE TO ENTER DB2 CODE: 2 !!! 
**  Download SPDB2.zip to desktop


GET SET:

**  Right-click and extract-all the new spdb2 ZIP file that you just downloaded
**  Close all windows and look for the extracted folder
**  Delete the zippered download file.
**  Put the UN-ZIPPED spdb2 folder on the sd card, the whole folder
**  Put the Serial Magic Pro setup folder on the sd card (contains the serialmagic cab install file)
**  Put our how-to folder on the sd card (videos from info.scoutpal.com)



GO:

**  Put filled micro SD card in Omnia, then press and hold Omnia's hangup button to turn it on.
	?? OTA Programming alerts? Just dismiss them with close/hangup.
	***Only if necessary**** How to Hard Reset the Omnia:
		Start, settings, phone settings, my phone #, eg "000-000-7260" (last 4)
		.. memory settings, clear all data, yes, lock code is last 4, eg 7260.
**  Wait for boot. Align the screen if prompted. Wait PATIENTLY for initial OTA alert(s), dismiss 'em.
**  Tap Start, Edit (bottom right) then remove all from Menu 1, save, remove all on Menu 2, save, ... etc.
**  With empty menu, tap Settings (bottom left), tap Display Settings, tap Items on Today.
**  Pull up on list to un-check Samsung WidgetPlus.
**  Pull down list to checkmark date and Owner Info. Those only. Tap Done, then Back to Basic Settings. 
**  General Settings, Power, Battery Power: Change "Turn off backlight" to 30 secs.
	Pull screen up to reveal "Turn Off Device choice" -- change it to Always Turn On.
	Tap Done and close stuff until you are back at empty Menu 1. (If back to Today screen, tap Start.)
**  Tap Edit; tap upper right corner Plus (+); pull apps list up to see MS File Explorer; tap MS File Explorer; tap Save.
**  Tap MS File Explorer from Menu 1 and navigate (tap triangle) to SD Card.
	Tap SPDB2 folder, tap ScoutPalDB2 Setup file. Trust yes, Install to device. Tap OK (top right.)
**  Back in File Explorer, tap Up to get to SD Card root. Install Scanfob SerialMagic Pro to device.
**  Back in File Explorer, tap Up to return it to "My Device."
**  Power cycle phone. (Hold Hang Up button to shut down, hold again to power up, wait and dismiss OTA msgs.)
**  Tap Start, Edit, Assign ScoutPalDB to Upper Left (+)
**  Assign SerialMagic Pro to Middle (+), tap Save.
**  Tap Settings, tap General Settings, Buttons, Assign a program...
		- Change "Button One" to run ScoutPalDB (will need to pull app list up.)
		- Change "Button One Hold" to run SerialMagic Pro.
		- Tap Done / close windows and return to the Today Screen.
**  Change Date and Time as needed, then set to customer's timezone.
**  Power cycle phone.
**  Press big button to start ScoutPalDB. Tap word "Settings", on bottom.
**  Unlock. (Use virtual keyboard; get the unlock KEY from http://scoutpal.com/db/unlock.)
**  Dismiss virtual keyboard.
**  Tap Database tab, tap "Find it for me" button.  (Should find it on sd card)
**  OK to get to seek screen, bring up fat KEYPAD.
**  Tap in X42, Seek Seek Seek - tests spdb isbn db.
**  Tap in 123456789012, seek; x42, Seek Seek Seek - tests UPC db.
