Determine the software versions on your ScoutPalSE phone:
- (A) ScoutPalSE version:
- Start ScoutPalSE, but DO NOT press LOGIN.
- Look at the top of the ScoutPalSE login screen.
- It will
display "ScoutPalSE vsn x.y", where x.y is the version number.
- (A) Write down the version number displayed for ScoutPalSE.
- (B) Operating System:
- On your phone, press #*(menu)(cursorpad-right) in quick succession.

- The buttons must be pressed in an exact cadence, with almost no
delay between each one.
- It helps to say the names of the keys as you type them:
"Pound" ... "Star" ... "Menu"
... "Right"
- A "Trace Mode" screen should appear. If not, repeat the previous step,
but type faster.
- Scroll to Unit Info, press VIEW or OK.
- Scroll down to Software, press SELECT or OK.
- (B) Write down the Operating System "Software Ver:". It will be something like "R88.01.04".
- Press BACK.
- Press BACK again.
- (C, D; Only if requested by ScoutPal) IMEI/SIM ID:
- You should be back to "Trace Mode" screen.
- Scroll down to IMEI/SIM ID.
- Press VIEW or OK.
- Write down ALL of the digits of the (C) IMEI and the (C) SIM ID.
- Press BACK, then EXIT to return your phone to its main screen.
After up you have written down the information requested, send an
email to ScoutPal
with the information:
- Your ScoutPal ID:
- ScoutPalSE Version: (A)
- Operating System Version Number: (B)
- IMEI: (C)
- SIM: (D)
ScoutPal will reply back letting you know if you have the latest
software versions, and with instructions on how to upgrade you phone
to the latest software releases.
