Remote Support

You can invite ScoutPal to securely operate your computer and mobile device device by remote-control, allowing us to assist just as if we were sitting right next to you. Contact us first for instructions on how to begin your support session. The remote support session will be free*, secure, and can only operate under your specific approval.

The remote support procedure will require that you are already capable of performing basic computer operations such as browsing directly to a specific website address, downloading and installing software, downloading files, copying and pasting files and folders, and following directions. As well, your computer's internet connection will need be DSL, cable modem, or at the very least a high-speed dialup through a dedicated phone line. If your connection is dial-up, you will need to be on another phone line so that we can talk to you as we are assisting you.

We may need to direct Mac users to visit their nearest Apple store Genius bar* because, as Apple states, it's: "The best place to get support for Apple products. When you need hands-on technical support for your Apple products, you can get friendly, expert help at the Genius Bar."

In rare cases, remote support may not be possible due to technical connection or other issues, but we will do our best to talk you through any ScoutPal-related problem you may have. You can also choose to mail your PDA or phone to us, and we will set it up for you for a flat $25-$45 fee (depending on your equipment), which includes insured priority shipping back to you. * ScoutPal is not qualified to/does not/cannot act as a general-purpose and public computer/handheld/internet helpdesk; but we always do our best to help ScoutPal subscribers who have fully ScoutPal-compatible equipment.
